AM Charitable Foundation is launching a transformative new initiative: an Early Intervention Center in North Arcot District, Tamil Nadu, dedicated to children ages 2–8 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Intellectual Disability, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and other developmental challenges. This center pioneers a residential campus model to provide continuous, multidisciplinary care and empowers families through integrated programs in nutrition, therapy, and social support.
Center Vision and Mission
The center will provide:
Good nutrition for children and pregnant women, supporting healthy brain and body development, which is especially crucial for young children with neurological and developmental needs.
Behavioral therapies and specialized interventions for autism, intellectual disability, and ADHD, including speech therapy, occupational therapy, and tailored behavioral support. These interventions develop communication, social, cognitive, and motor skills, laying the foundation for each child to reach their full potential.
Support for families through counseling, training, and financial aid, helping them navigate the often overwhelming journey of seeking care and resources for their children.
Addressing Local Needs
While small-scale consultant-based therapies exist in Karnataka, this initiative aims to scale up access and establish a high-quality, inclusive center in Tamil Nadu, filling critical gaps in local service availability. Currently, centers are concentrated mostly in some cities, leaving many children and their families in semi-urban and rural areas underserved. The new residential campus model will enable children who need round-the-clock care and intensive therapy to receive it in a nurturing environment.
Why Early Intervention Matters
Children with ASD, intellectual disabilities, and ADHD often face lifelong barriers in communication, learning, and independence if they do not receive early, consistent intervention.
Early support significantly improves outcomes: children gain better adaptive skills, families experience less distress, and future dependence on social and medical services is reduced.
The center’s multidisciplinary approach ensures a continuum of care that addresses both the developmental and nutritional needs of children—an area often overlooked in traditional therapy settings.
Invitation to Donors and Therapists
AM Charitable Foundation invites:
Compassionate donors who can help sponsor therapies, nutrition, infrastructure, or scholarships for needy families.
Therapists and special educators (ABA specialists, speech/occupational therapists, psychologists) to contribute skills, pro bono support, or training, amplifying impact across the region.
